In BF3 you can customise your dog tags, like scrape messages and pictures into them.  Then when you knife somebody they see your tags so they know who knifed them.  Now you can only knife somebody from behind as well, not sure about that one, might drive me crazy!

Knife kills only being possible from behind can be a bit boring to me as well.
Specially when, according to the alpha testers, knife killing is somewhat slowly performed. And can therefore miss alot.
